About Department

The Department of Mathematics & Indian Knowledge System (IKS) is committed to excellence in teaching, learning, and research by integrating modern mathematical concepts with the rich heritage of traditional Indian knowledge. The department aims to build strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills among students while fostering an appreciation for ancient Indian contributions to mathematics and science.

Mathematics serves as the foundation for various disciplines such as science, engineering, technology, and economics. Alongside this, the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) introduces students to traditional methodologies, including ancient mathematical techniques, Vedic mathematics, astronomy, and philosophical insights developed in India over centuries.
