About RTI
Under the Right to Information Act, 2005, any citizen of India may request information
from a public authority, which is required to reply within 30 days.

How to File an RTI Application
- Submit a written application in English, Hindi, or the official language of the area.
- Clearly specify the information required.
- Pay the prescribed application fee (usually ₹10).
- Send the application to the PIO via post or submit it in person.

- Additional charges may apply for copies/documents as per RTI rules.
Time Limit
- 30 days from the date of receipt of the application.
- 48 hours in case of information concerning life and liberty.
